A Schenectady, New York woman has filed suit against the Boys & Girls Clubs of the Capital Area, alleging that two staff members—David Gordon and Paul Dunn—sexually harassed and assaulted her over a period. She claims the harassment escalated, with incidents of unwanted contact, inappropriate messages, and one attempt at forced sex. Her claims include significant emotional distress and career disruption.
The complaint further alleges that club leadership failed to respond to early reports or to conduct adequate investigations into complaints, creating an environment in which these behaviors could continue unchecked. The plaintiff also says she was pressured to remain silent after the harassment escalated.
For survivors, this case is about more than past trauma—it’s about demanding that clubs and lifestyle organizations enforce safe environments and enforce policies that protect employees and participants. When those in power ignore red flags, they enable abuse.
